Excursion Valparaíso and viña del mar tour at Valparaiso

Discover Chile's history, charm and cultural heritage on this truly pleasant excursion through some of Valparaiso's nearby highlights. Departing the pier and drive just a short distance along the coastal road to reach the city and resort of c for a scenic tour aboard your coach. Pass by the Santa Maria Technical University, the Recreo Yachting Club and Portales Cove. Once in Viña del Mar, drive by the "Wolf Castle", the "flower clock" and the lovely gardens of the 1930s-style Casino and residential areas.
Travel back to Valparaiso to reach La Florida Hill, making a visit La Sebastiana, the house-museum that belonged to Pablo Neruda, Chilean literature Nobel Prize winner (1972). Neruda lived and worked in this very place - visit this 5-story house, with its magnificent view of the bay.
Then board your bus to drive through some Valparaiso's narrow streets and up Cerro Alegre to reach Plazuela San Luis. Walk a few blocks downhill along the lovely streets lined with colorful houses until you reach Paseo Yugoslavo, a lovely terrace crowning the cliff and surrounded by charming old houses from the early decades of the past century.
Next to the Paseo is Palacio Baburriza, an Art Nouveau palace built in 1916 that today houses the Fine Arts Museum (inside visit is not included). Walk to the end of the terrace to ride one of the old and traditional funiculars (cable cars) of Valparaíso, El Peral. In about 60 seconds ride it can carry you to Plaza Sotomayor where your bus is waiting to drive you back to the pier.

Please note: There is approximately 500 meters (5 blocks) of walking over flat, paved terrain, making this tour suitable for those with limited mobility who can walk this distance. Guests with walking difficulties may be unable to visit parts of the 5-story house museum, which has only a narrow staircase to travel. Light clothing, comfortable walking shoes, sunhat and sun protection are recommended
