Experience the spectacular natural wonders of the 'Golden Circle' during this panoramic, full-day sightseeing excursion to Thingvellir, Gullfoss and Geysir.


Reykjavik, Mosfellsheidi Heath and Almannagja

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 45-minute drive to Thingvellir National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was home to the Viking Parliament, and Iceland's geological and historical heritage. En route, traverse the Mosfellsheidi Heath and stop to view Almannagja, the location where Europe's oldest national legislative assembly, the Icelandic Althing, was established in 930 and convened every summer for nearly eight centuries.


Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss Waterfall and Geysir Geothermal Area

Upon arrival at Thingvellir National Park, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, a visit is made to the magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall, Iceland's most beautiful waterfall. A stop for a light lunch is included.

Following your visit, re-board your coach and head to the Geysir geothermal area with its multitude of hot springs. The most active one, Strokkur, spouts every few minutes.


Grimsnes Region, Hveragerdi Village and Hotel Transfer

Along the way, a comfort stop is made at Hveragerdi Village, where geothermal water has been used to build up its extensive greenhouse industry. Afterward, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 75-minute drive to Reykjavik.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.6 miles (about one kilometre), at times over uneven, gravel and slippery surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and at the restaurant. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear warm, comfortable clothing in layers with sturdy, flat, closed-toe and non-slip walking shoes, and bring sun protection and a weatherproof jacket from the ship.
