Journey through the Neolithic Heartland of Orkney; an area designated as a World Heritage Site due to its wealth of pre-historic archaeology and stop at the Ring of Brodgar, a 5000-year-old stone circle. Carry on a short distance on the coach to the Standing Stones of Stenness, a smaller but no less impressive circle and henge.
Light Refreshments
Stop at a local community centre where tea, coffee and locally made tray bakes will be served. Stay and chat to the friendly local folk serving refreshments before continuing your drive.
Return to the coach and continue this circular route following the coastline of Scapa Flow, a famous British Naval Base in both World Wars.
