Excursion Panoramic rhodes tour at Rhodes

Explore some of the most scenic and historic sites in Rhodes during this half-day sightseeing excursion to Mt. Philerimos and Lindos.

Mt. Philerimos

Depart the pier for the approximate 9.3-mile (about 15-kilometres) drive along the west coast of the island, then turn inland and ascend the winding road to the approximately 1,000-foot (about 304-metres) plateau of Mt. Philerimos. Upon arrival, take in spectacular views over Rhodes and see the restored Church of Our Lady, the Monastery and barrel-vaulted Church of St. George.

Lindos

Next, re-board your coach for the drive to Lindos. En route, pass by picturesque villages and a landscape dotted with citrus groves, vineyards and gnarled olive trees. During your free time here, see the white buildings of this ancient Doric village from afar as well as the spectacular Acropolis of Lindos in the distance.

Pottery Demonstration and Monte Smith

Leaving Lindos, a brief stop is made at Kalathos village for a pottery demonstration before commencing the approximate one-hour drive back to the pier. En route, pass by Monte Smith for splendid vistas overlooking Rhodes, the castle, and the coast of Turkey and nearby islands.
