Molde and Romsdal Open-Air Museum
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 45-minute sightseeing drive through the charming downtown area of Molde en route to the Romsdal Open-Air Museum. Established in 1912, it is one of the largest and most comprehensive folk museums in Norway. More than 50 old buildings originating from all over the region have been moved here to form typical country courtyards of farm buildings, including open-hearth houses, sheds, outhouses, smokehouses, and a small chapel.
Norwegian Folk Dancing and Mount Varden
Upon arrival, take in a live performance of Norwegian folk dancing performed by local children in national costumes. Afterward, re-board your coach and continue up to Mount Varden. A photo stop is made at the Varden Viewpoint to observe a dazzling panorama of the 222 white peaks of the Romsdal Alps, the tranquil fjord and its islands. Following your visit, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.
