Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to the Maui Ocean Centre, one of the Top 10 aquariums in the world and Maui's greatest attraction. Suitable for all ages, the Maui Ocean Centre is home to one of the world's largest displays of live coral, and features over 60 exhibits with sharks, turtles, stingrays, tropical fish, and more.

Upon arrival, approximately 2.5 hours is made available for you to stroll through the tropical aquarium exhibits at your own pace. Whilst journeying from the shallow reef to the open ocean, encounter marine life found nowhere else in the world, and discover the vibrant relationships between the Hawaiian people and the sea. The highlight of your visit to the Maui Ocean Centre is an opportunity to experience the new, 3D, state-of-the-art, Humpbacks of Hawaii Exhibit and Sphere.

Humpbacks of Hawaii Exhibit & Sphere, Virtual Experience, Maui Ocean Treasures Gift Shop

The Sphere breaks the deep-sea barrier and brings you eye-to-eye with Maui's humpback whales. The mystery and migration of these incredible ocean mammals is presented through interactive exhibits and displays in this virtual experience that feels like you are swimming with the whales in their realm beneath the waves, but never have to get wet. The Sphere Show is available every 30 minutes. The Maui Ocean Treasures gift shop is also a must-see, with its large selection of Hawaii-made products, jewellery, clothing, toys, and unique souvenirs. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking and standing for approximately one mile (about 1.6 kilometres), at times over uneven and cobblestone surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and three-five steps at various exhibits inside the Maui Ocean Centre. The stop at Maui Ocean Center is self-guided therefore the walking portion is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, bottled water. Bring credit cards as cash is not accepted at the Ocean Center. Guests must be at least four years old to participate on this tour; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old. The Sphere is not suitable for children under three years old and under due to the possibility of damage to their developing optic nerves. Guests must be at least 21 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. The Maui Ocean Centre & Sphere is closed on some major holidays. Commercial photography and videography are not permitted inside the Maui Ocean Centre The tour sequence may vary.
