Malacca City is the capital of the coastal state of Malacca, in southwestern Malaysia. Throughout this half-day sightseeing, you will have plenty of opportunity to get multiple photo stop within the historical and UNESCO Heritage Malacca Town.

Sightseeing Tour

You will begin with the first photo stop tat Chee Mansion, the old Peranakan clan residence located along the Heeran Street. Next, you will be heading to Street of Harmony where the 3 of the main religions are located. Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, a Chinese temple practicing the Three Doctrinal Systems of Buddhism and Kampung Kling Mosque, an old mosque in Malacca City situated at Jalan Tukang Emas.

Along the way, you will stop by for photo stop at St Peter's Church, which is oldest functioning Roman Catholic church in Malaysia. Nearby is the Dutch Square, the most picturesque along Jalan Kota distinguished by a group of bright, terracotta-red colonial Dutch buildings, built between 1660 and 1700, with louvered windows and chunky doors with wrought iron hinges.

A central fountain dominates the area: it is an ornate Victorian marble addition, erected in 1904 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. One of the oldest surviving parts of Malacca, Dutch Square's most prominent building is the Stadthuys. Presiding over the entire south side of Dutch Square it was completed in 1660 and is said to be the oldest-existing Dutch building in the East.

Continue to the majestic photo stop at the Flor de la Mar, a Portuguese nau of 400 tons, which over nine years participated in decisive events in the Indian Ocean until her sinking in November 1511. At 400 tons, she was the largest carrack yet built, nearly twice the size of the largest ships that had gone on previous runs.

Before drop off at the Dataran Pahlwan Melaka Megamall for your shopping, you will end the last stop at the A'Famosa, a Portuguese fortress and it is among the oldest surviving European architectural remains in South East Asia. The Porta de Santiago, a small gate house, is the only remaining part of the fortress still standing.your last photo stop will locate at A'Famosa, a Portuguese fortress built in 1512.
