Excursion Highland park distillery experience tour at Kirkwall

This exclusive experience offers a memorable journey into the world of Highland Park whisky, starting with a pick-up from the pier by the Highland Park Vehicle and expert guide. Guests will visit Hobbister Moor where they will have the opportunity to learn about the traditional methods of peat cutting and the important role it plays in the whisky-making process. The guide will provide detailed insights into how the local peat contributes to the unique characteristics of Highland Park whisky.

The next stop is the Highland Park Distillery, where guests will watch a short film about Orkney and the distillery's origins, accompanied by a dram of a distillery-exclusive single cask malt whisky. An extensive tour of the distillery follows, including the unique experience of tasting whisky directly from the cask in warehouse 12.

The experience culminates in a private guided tasting session of 4 of Highland Park's finest whiskies, where guests can savor the complex flavors and aromas that make this whisky renowned worldwide.

Guests will have the chance to visit the onsite shop and purchase the distillery-exclusive single cask malt whisky before returning to the ship, with each guest receiving a Highland Park gift bag as a souvenir

Note

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for a total of one hour, much of it at the discretion of the visitor, with a total of 300m of necessary walking, at times over uneven surfaces. There are a few steps to negotiate to get on and off the coach, and a flight of stairs at the distillery. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair who are not traveling with a companion who can assist. Guests are advised to wear warm, comfort able clothing in layers with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, a warm layer, and a weatherproof jacket or coat. Guests must be at least 18 years old to participate to this tour. Photography is not permitted in the Still Room of the distillery. Cancellation dedaline is 10 days before the call.
