Excursion Fire lake and the tea gardens of são miguel tour at Ponta Delgada

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Travel through charming villages along the southern coast of São Miguel before making your way into the island's verdant interior. As we ascend towards the volcanic massif of Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lake), breathtaking views emerge from one of the island's highest elevations. At 575 meters above sea level, this stunning emerald lake—created within a volcanic crater—ranks among São Miguel's most exquisite natural attractions.

Continuing along the striking northern coast, we reach Chá Gorreana, the oldest tea plantation in Europe. Explore the factory museum, where traditional 19th-century machinery is still operational, and then savor Azorean tea. Before heading back to the port, we stop at the Santa Iria Viewpoint, which provides spectacular views of the northern and western coasts converge.
