Excursion Talisker distillery tour at Portree

To connoisseurs of the "water of life," no visit to Scotland would be complete without a visit to a whiskey distillery. Departing the pier, drive one hour south and west from Portree for a tour that takes you to the only malt whiskey distillery on the Isle of Skye. The distillery is situated on the western shore of Loch Harport with dramatic views to the mighty Cuillins.

At the Talisker Distillery, learn about the process of making Scotland's finest export, whiskey. Your guided tour is, of course, followed by a "wee dram" of the award winning Talisker 10-year-old variety.

Please note: While some portions of the visitor center are accessible, due to the nature of this tour, including over 50 minutes of walking and standing and traveling on uneven surfaces with multiple steps to climb, this tour is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties. Guests must be able to board the coach unaided. The tour operator requests that guests in a wheelchair are accompanied by a travel companion as guides cannot take responsibility for them during the tour. Comfortable clothing and flat shoes are recommended. Guests must be of legal drinking age to participate in tasting.
