Please note: This experience includes a mountain hike to Nyoho-ji Temple and approximately 3.1 miles (5 km) of walking in total. The route includes natural trails with uneven terrain, inclines, steps, and unpaved sections. Guests should be in good physical condition and comfortable hiking uphill. Comfortable clothing, sturdy walking shoes, a hat, and weather-appropriate outerwear are recommended. During the visit to Nyoho-ji Temple, guests will participate in a Zen meditation session and should be prepared to sit quietly for a period of time. At Garyu Sanso, guests are required to remove their shoes before entering. The itinerary may vary for operational reasons.
