Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to Dig This Invercargill, the only heavy equipment playground in New Zealand. Upon arrival, rip, push and pull your way to a whole new level of excitement whilst operating heavy machinery such as diggers, bulldozers, stationary mini-excavators and skid steers, all in a giant gravel pit.

Your friendly Dig This team is on-hand to instruct and help you navigate your way through a series of challenges, which may include tyre-stacking, earth-moving and digger basketball. Suitable for the young and young-at-heart, individuals and groups, this empowering experience leaves you grinning from ear-to-ear. No driver's license is required, so enjoy this opportunity whilst you can. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of activity and a minimal amount of walking, at times of uneven and loose gravel surfaces, with three steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and up to five steps to access the machine cabs; guests must be able to access them without assistance. This tour is not suitable for guests with visual difficulties, guests who do not have a good comprehension of the English language, guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. All participants must be free of the influence of alcohol or drugs, and consent to alcohol breath-screening prior to starting their experience. A zero-tolerance policy is in effect, and no refunds are given if guests fail their alcohol screening test. Guests are advised to wear warm, comfortable clothing in layers with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, a weatherproof jacket and local currency for purchases from the ship. A signed waiver is required to participate on this tour. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. The tour sequence may vary. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment. The coach supply in Bluff is very limited, coaches used are the best-available in the area, but may not be up to the standards of larger New Zealand ports.
