Visit the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, the final destination of the legendary pilgrimage of "Camino de Santiago" or Way of Saint James. It is one of three pilgrimages on which all sins are believed to be forgiven. Believed to be the burial site of the apostle James the Great, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993.


Drive to Santiago de Compostela. Upon arrival, visit the Obradoiro Square, where you can find the Cathedral, the Townhall, the Pazo, the Palace of Saint Jerome and the Hotel of the Reyes Catolicos.

Enjoy a guided visit of the Cathedral through the crypt and up to the main floor where along the way, the guide offers unique insights into the treasures of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

Afterwards, try some local tapas, followed by free time, before returning to Vigo.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 1 mile (about 1.5 kilometers), with some steps to negotiate at the cathedral. Lightweight, comfortable clothing, flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Appropriate dress code is required for the church visit, namely covered knees and shoulders. The driving time from the pier to Santiago de Compostela is approximately 75 minutes in each direction. Tour duration can vary between 5 and 6 hours, depending on traffic.
