Conclude your journey with treasured memories of your Indian safari before flying back to Cochin to rejoin the ship.

This Silver Shore Overland Experience requires advance booking through Silversea Reservations no later than 90 days prior to the sail date. Requests received after this date may be accommodated on a space-available basis. Tickets are available in limited quantities, and participation cannot be guaranteed for those guests not booking well in advance. A minimum number of participants is required to operate this program. If this minimum number is not met, Silversea reserves the right to offer the program at a different rate based on private arrangements or to cancel the specific departure. Cancellation fee, unless otherwise advised: 90 - 0 days prior to the initial sailing date—100% of the program fare per person is due.

Payment in full is due within 120 days prior to sailing. Bookings made within 120 days of sailing require full payment within seven days of booking or sooner, as specified by Silversea. Onboard Spending Credit may not be applied to the purchase of this program.

All Overland Experience fares are subject to change and are not guaranteed until payment is received in full by Silversea. All Overland Experiences are non-transferable and non-refundable within 90 days of sailing. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by someone 18 years of age or older. All LOverland Experiences are owned by independent contractors, and Silversea makes no representations and assumes no responsibility for the services provided by these operators. VISA INFORMATION:

Guests must be in possession of an Indian visa obtained prior to joining the cruise. It is the responsibility of each guest to obtain all appropriate visas before cruising. Visa details, along with names as they appear in your passport, must be communicated to Silversea no later than 60 days prior to the operation of this Mid-Voyage Land Adventure.

LOCAL CURRENCY:

The local currency is the Indian Rupee; however, Euros and US Dollars are well-accepted by most vendors. Local ATMs are available in some locations visited, and credit cards are accepted in most larger shops and hotels (there is no shopping stop planned during the program).

DAY ONE - Thursday April 9 - Galle/Colombo/Delhi

After breakfast onboard depart the ship and transfer to Colombo Airport for a scheduled afternoon flight to Delhi of approx. 3.5 hours. Light lunch will be served onboard. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to The Oberoi Gurgaon, near Delhi Airport.

DAY TWO - Friday April 10 - Delhi/ Ranthambore

After breakfast begin the approximately 5 hour drive to Ranthambore.  Upon arrival stretch your legs and check-in to the luxury tent that will be your home for this exciting adventure.

Enjoy lunch at the hotel followed by time at leisure.

Alternatively, you can visit the famous 10th century fort of Ranthambore balanced on a hilltop. A visit to its thousand-year-old ramparts provides a magnificent view as the setting sun casts mystical shadows over the surrounding jungle.

DAY THREE - Saturday April 11 -Ranthambore  

Enjoy a spectacular day starting with an early morning exploration of the game reserve, tracking the Tiger. Keep your camera ready for that amazing shot to share with your friends and family.  Big cats though elusive  are often very active first thing in the morning.  Breakfast is served when you return.

Enjoy some time at your leisure before lunch is served at the hotel.

At the appointed time gather for an afternoon game drive. At the conclusion of the game drive return to the hotel.

DAY FOUR - Sunday April 12 - Ranthambore / Gurgaon

Enjoy another early morning game drive exploring the game reserve, tracking the Tiger!

After breakfast, embark on a 5 hours drive to Gurgaon, with a rest stop en route. A boxed lunch will be provided for the journey.

Upon arrival proceed to your hotel for a quick check-in followed up by some time at leisure.

Dinner and overnight accommodation at The Oberoi Gurgaon.

DAY FIVE - Mondy April 13 - Delhi/Cochin

Early transfer to the airport for your 04:55am flight to Cochin of approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes. Breakfast will be served on board. On arrival, proceed to the pier. Later, join the awaiting Silversea ship.

Please note: This Mid-Voyage Overland Experience requires an extensive amount of walking and climbing of steps at all sites visited, making the tour unsuitable for guests with limited mobility or those utilising a wheelchair. Guests are required to arrange a visa to enter India from their local embassies/consulates  or, if applicable, via https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html prior to embarking the ship. This Land Adventure involves touring outdoors and guests may be exposed to warm/hot, humid and/or wet weather and insects; please pack accordingly in a small overnight case. Pack lightly; luggage weight restrictions on internal flights within India are limited to 33 lbs. (15 kg) and 15 lbs. (7 kg) for hand carry-on. Casual, lightweight cotton clothing, comfortable shoes, a sunhat, sun block and sunglasses are imperative. Remember also to bring your camera.  It is recommended to leave jewellery and valuables on the ship.  The tour sequence may vary and traffic patterns may affect tour timings; order of sites may change. Anticipate crowds at the sites visited. Comfort stops are made along the way and drive time can vary.  Space is limited, but a minimum of participants is required to operate this excursion. To book game drives, guest passport copy will be required at least 90 days in advance. The guests must ensure to carry the same passport at the time of the game drive.

“Please be aware that road conditions in Ranthambore National Park may vary, with some routes being rugged and uneven, resulting in a bumpy ride. The jeeps used for safaris are open-top vehicles, providing an unobstructed view of the wildlife but also exposing passengers to direct sunlight. Guests should be respectful towards local sentiments and customs. In April, temperatures can exceed 35°C (95°F), so visitors should come prepared. Wildlife sightings, especially tigers, are not guaranteed as they depend on several factors, including animal behaviour, weather conditions, and time of day. Ranthambore is renowned for its tiger population, but sightings are elusive.”
