Excursion Island tour & winefarm tour at Lipari

After tendering ashore, depart for a leisurely walk of approximately 20-30 minutes along Lipari's main street to reach the coach parking area and start your sightseeing of the Island with a stop in the most panoramic points, from where you will be able to enjoy the magnificent view of the Aeolian islands.

Tenuta di Castellaro & view point stop

After the drive, a stop will be made at Tenuta di Castellaro which may be considered a monument to landscape, art, architecture and technology, and entirely keeps faith with nature and traditions.

With a short stroll through the vineyard, you reach a viewpoint, where it is possible to admire a spectacular view; afterwards visit the barrique cellar, completely underground and built in the local style, recounts different geological areas through its arches and pillars: 22,000 years of history create a magical environment where the vine is refined and aged in its oaken casks;the windcatcher tower, built with state-ofthe-art technologies, is absolute environment-friendly; adopting a concept used by ancient populations since the X Century BC, it comprises a thermal labyrinth and a chimney, which create a natural air-conditioning system.

Local products & wine tasting

Afterwards, in the tasting zone, you will be enjoy some of the local produced wines with a platter of salami, cheeses, traditional toasted bread (pane caliato), home-made caper paté, etc. The experience ends on a sweet note, with Malvasia delle Lipari accompanied by sesame biscuits (sesamini).

After the tasting you will return on pier by coach.

Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking of approximately 500 yards (about 400 metres), at times over uneven surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and at the winery.
