Depart the pier for the short walk to your awaiting traditional dhow boat. After receiving your safety briefing and tour instructions, embark your vessel for the scenic, approximately 2.5-hour ride to Kumzar Village. En route, a stop is made for a guided swimming and snorkelling session. Khasab is the capital of Musandam, and renowned for its fjords, coral reef, colourful fish, and dolphin. The sea here is also famous for its abundant seafood and beautiful, crystal-clear waters, which are ideal for swimming, snorkelling and diving. After anchoring, receive your snorkelling instructions, life vest and snorkelling kit, then begin swimming and snorkelling among the coral beds, colourful fish, and marine life.

Following your snorkelling session, embark the boat and continue on to Kumzar, a village located in Musandam, the northernmost province of Oman. Kumzar is the second-most northerly inhabited part of the country, and the most northerly inhabited part on its mainland, located on the Straits of Hormaz. The village is isolated, and only accessible by boat. Kumzar has been inhabited for approximately 500 years, although exact records are difficult. Upon arrival, learn about the history, culture, language, and daily life in Kumzar during a guided tour of the village, and a visit to a local home.


Boat-Ride to Khasab Harbor, Seafood Lunch, Refreshments

Following your guided visit to Kumzar Village, walk back to your dhow boat for the scenic, approximately 2.5-hour ride back to Khasab Harbor. En route, a seafood lunch, fresh fruit, dates, and refreshments are served on board the dhow boat. Upon arrival at the pier, disembark your dhow boat and return to the ship on-foot.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of activity and a minimal amount of walking, at times over uneven and sandy surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to embark/disembark the boat and maneuver in/out of the boat.
