Keep your binoculars and camera handy on these prime bird viewing grounds that lie in the immediate vicinity of Kodiak town. Look for Pine Grosbeaks, Red-necked Grebes, and Black Oystercatchers that are just a few of the birds spotted regularly apart from Herring, Mew and Glaucous-winged Gulls, as well as Black-legged Kittiwakes, ducks and small passerines.
