Countryside Drive to Antica Masseria Zenobio

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to Antica Masseria Zenobio. Along the way, enjoy views of the rolling hills and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Upon arrival, be welcomed by your host and take a brief comfort stop before beginning the farm visit.

Antica Masseria Zenobio & Olive Grove

From the arrival point, enjoy a guided tour of the Masseria and its historic olive groves. Learn how Italian families traditionally produced extra virgin olive oil, a practice that has remained largely unchanged for over a century. Discover the Masseria’s cultural significance, where neighbors shared the mill and fostered community ties beyond olive oil. Gain historical insight into the hills that witnessed WW2 battles in 1942, and admire the centuries-old olive trees still thriving today.

Traditional Brunch and Tastings

Following the tour, savor a traditional al fresco brunch (weather permitting) featuring local specialties: homemade bread baked in a wood-fired oven, Gaeta olives, dried tomatoes, fresh goat cheese, accompanied by a regional wine. Conclude the tasting with a sweet wine and homemade biscuits, experiencing authentic flavors of the Italian countryside.

After the tasting, enjoy time to browse the Masseria’s boutique offering artisan products including olive oil, wine, jams, and crafts. Re-board the coach for the approximately 30-minute drive back to Gaeta pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.5 miles (about 0.8 km) over pebbled and uneven terrain in the olive groves, with a few steps to negotiate when boarding and exiting the coach. Walking at the Masseria is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests who require a standard wheelchair; foldable wheelchairs may be accommodated on request. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe shoes and sun protection are recommended.
