Depart the pier for the short drive to the train depot, then board the historic White Pass & Yukon Route narrow-gauge railroad for a scenic, approximately 1.5-hour trip through the coastal mountains en route to Fraser, British Columbia, Canada.

Guided Bicycle-Ride, Klondike Highway-Summit of White Pass,

Upon arrival, meet your guides and board a coach for the ride along the scenic Klondike Highway to the summit of the White Pass. After receiving your safety and bicycle orientation, helmet and test ride, begin your guided, approximately 15-mile (about 24.1-kilometre) ride downhill on a winding mountain road from the summit to the sea. As you coast along the paved Klondike Highway, make multiple stops for photos of the historic White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad, cascading waterfalls, awe-inspiring glaciers, majestic mountains and peaks, and other historic sites.

U.S. Customs, Optional Shopping and Exploration in Skagway

During your bicycle tour, a stop is made at U.S. Customs to check back into the U.S. on bicycles. At the conclusion of your bicycle tour at the bicycle shop in downtown, you can re-board your van and commence the short drive back to the ship or remain in town for shopping and further exploration, and return to the ship on your own.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of bicycling for approximately 15 miles (about 24.1 kilometres) and a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.5 miles (about 0.8 kilometres), at times over uneven and gravel surfaces, hills and inclines, with a few steps to get on/off the coach and bicycle, and board/de-board the train. Walking in Skagway is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is recommended for active guests who are in good physical condition, and able to ride a bicycle for long distances. This tour is not recommended for pregnant guests, guests with neck and/or back problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests with a fear of heights, guests with arthritis in their hands (or other conditions that would inhibit operation of the brake levers), guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear warm, comfortable sportswear in layers with flat, closed-toe sport shoes, and bring sun protection and a weatherproof jacket from the ship; high-heel shoes are not permitted. Guests must be at least 13 years old to participate on this tour; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Guests must be at least 4'6" (about 1.37 metres) in height to participate on this tour. Guests weighing over 270 pounds (about 122 kilograms) cannot participate on this tour. The bicycles utilized on this tour are mountain bikes with front suspensions, wide tires and hand-operated disc-brakes (a.k.a hardtail mountain bikes). The cycling portion of this tour is mostly downhill, and requires extensive use of hand-brakes to control speed. Some pedaling is also required, and guests should be comfortable mounting and dismounting bike regularly at stops. Safety helmets are provided, and must be worn the entire time whilst bicycling. Guests must carry their passports and ship's ID at all times. A signed waiver is required to participate on this tour. The tour sequence may vary. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
