Located within the lovely Krka National Park, the falls cascade over 17 natural barriers. Krka is one of the seven National Parks in Croatia and it covers an area of 14,222 Ha with its specific characteristics of natural, human and cultural values, particularly geological, geomorphologic, hydrological, biological and landscape elements. The Krka river is a distinctive phenomenon also due its specific biocenosis and formation of gypsum barriers. The entire area is rich with endemic species-vegetation as well as birds and fish. Due to very strong laws on natural preservation this extraordinary area has been preserved in its original form.

Skradinski Buk Waterfalls & Spectacular Views

This tour will take you to the most attractive part of the Park - the Skradinski Buk Waterfalls. The highest fall is 46-meters high, which makes it the highest gypsum barrier in Europe. Above the falls there is a large plateau that offers spectacular views. During your exploration, a visit is made to small ethnological exhibition and the old mill, which is still in function demonstrating how it was used for grinding. Around the falls there is a gravel trail for those who wish to explore the surroundings further.

Town of Skradin, Free Time

At the designated time, re-join your guide for the drive to Town of Skradin. Skradin is a little town situated on a upper end of Krka estuary on the enterance to National Park. Skradin is one of the oldest towns in Croatia, with authentic stone inner city and one of the most picturesque Marina on Croatian Adriatic. On that area Ilirs used to have their settlement, and after them Romans founded the settlement called Scardona, because of very important strategic position. During history Skradin was under Turks, Venetian, French and Austrian-Hungarian administration. Enjoy some time strolling along the beautiful sea front promenade before joining your bus for the panoramic drive to Sibenik.
