The Park covers an area of 242,000 hectares welcoming a fertile combination of lakes, lagoons, waterfalls, glaciers, hills and peaks, where it is possible to admire different forms of life in their natural state. Inside the area, the road is surrounded with dozens of lagoons covered with grasses and aquatic birds, contrasting with small hills where flocks of Guanacos pasture.

Leave the pier in Puerto Natales to drive to Cerro Castillo Cafeteria and Souvenirs shop, stopping along the way if wildlife is spotted. Make a travel stop, browse some souvenirs and have a coffee or snack.

Continue towards to an alternative entrance of the Park, through the Lago Sarmiento area, spotting the

dozens of Guanacos that graze here. At the entrance there is a brief stop to register and enter the park. Receive your map and start a great walk up the hill, for about 4 kilometers along a gravel and grass trail, admiring constantly the Paine range. Look for the fauna endemic to the area, including condors, guanacos and rheas among others. After reaching the top of this hill, hike down for another 4 km until reaching to the Laguna Amarga entrance to the park, where the transportation awaits.

Stop also at the viewpoint of Cuernos del Paine and continue via coach, skirting the Paine River, passing by the headquarters of the Serrano River until reaching a peaceful and beautiful spot where you can admire another part of this massive Park.

Enjoy lunch, served in the Serrrano area, and then head to the Salto Grande area to observe its waterfall. The Nordenskjold Lake gives life to the impetuous Salto Grande (big waterfall) and forms the quiet Pehoe Lake. Walk some 400 meters each way to see the falls up closely.
