Your day begins with a convenient pickup from the cruise terminal, where your friendly guide will welcome you and escort you on a short drive to the Geraldton Museum.

Spend around 30 minutes exploring this fascinating museum, home to an extensive collection of historical artifacts. The highlight is the exhibit dedicated to the Batavia shipwreck, one of Australia’s most infamous maritime tragedies. Your guide will share engaging stories and insights into the ship’s dramatic history and the region’s rich maritime heritage, setting the stage for your visit to the Abrolhos Islands.

Scenic Flight Over the Abrolhos

Next, transfer to Geraldton Airport for your scenic flight. After a brief safety briefing, take to the skies in a small aircraft and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Abrolhos Islands and the surrounding ocean. The pilot’s commentary will enrich your understanding of the Batavia’s history and the islands’ ecological significance.

The flight includes a landing on East Wallabi Island, where you’ll be treated to a relaxing light lunch in a shaded spot. Savor local delicacies while soaking in the tranquil natural scenery - a perfect moment to unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures.

After your island lunch, reboard the aircraft for the return flight to Geraldton. Upon landing, you’ll be driven back to the cruise terminal, ready to continue your voyage with lasting memories of this unique land and sky experience.

Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking for approx. 200 meters (220 yards) over uneven ground and concrete surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and plane. Walking on the island is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is suitable for guests with limited mobility but it is not wheelchair accessible. This tour is not suitable for guests with a fear of heights and guests prone to motion sickness. We recommend guests to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, hat, sunglasses and bottled water from the ship. Please be aware that weight restrictions may apply and kindly submit your weight information to the Shore Concierge Team on board at least 72 hours prior to flight.
