Upon arrival begin your walking tour of approximately 2.5 hours together with our guide. Visit the Valley of the Mills, where the atmospheric old brick buildings are overgrown with greenery. Marvel at landmarks like the Basilica Sant'Antonino and the San Francesco Cloister, and thrill to sweeping views of Sorrento Bay from the Public Gardens. Encounter the ancient Durazzo portals and take in the scene at the classic old Marina Grande fishing harbor as well as the glitzy modern city marina. Making your way to bustling Piazza Tasso at the heart of Sorrento, stop by Sorrento’s principal Cathedral of Saints Philip and James along pedestrianized Corso Italia for a quick visit (if opening hours and mass schedule permit) before your end-of-tour treat of an Italian ice cream or soft drink from local Bar Fauno. From here, you can walk back to the ship with your guide or remain in the city center for further solo exploring.

Please note: This tour includes approximately 2 mi / 3.2 km of walking over 2.5 hours, with flat and uphill segments and some stairs. The activity is not recommended for those who utilize a wheelchair or have limited mobility, or for children who may be uncomfortable with the extensive walking. Photography is not permitted inside Sorrento Cathedral and during Mass service days, your guide will provide group commentary outside the building; guests may enter individually. Please dress appropriately for church visits, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring your preferred sun protection. The order of sights and activities may vary. Guests may decide to remain in Sorrento city center and return to the ship independently.
