San Francisco, Golden Gate Bridge, Pavilion & Welcome Centre, Free Time, Exquisite Views

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive along the embarcadero to the Golden Gate Pavilion. Upon arrival at the Welcome Centre, some free time is made available to take in breath-taking panoramic views and photo opportunities of your surrounds. The iconic Golden Gate Bridge is possibly the most beautiful, and certainly the most photographed, bridge in the world. Often half-veiled by the city's trademark rolling fog, San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge is named after the strait leading from the Pacific Ocean to the San Francisco Bay, which spans tidal currents, ocean waves, and battering winds to connect the 'City by the Bay' with the 'Redwood Empire' to the north.

Sausalito, Free Time, Galleries, Boutiques, Cafés, Land's End Lookout, Photo Stop, Crashing Waves

Next, re-board your coach and drive across the Golden Gate Bridge en route to Sausalito. Originally a small fishing village, Sausalito is now home to many upscale galleries, boutiques, and cafes. Upon arrival, some free time is made available to take a stroll through this charming seaside enclave. On a clear day, you can see the skyline of San Francisco in the distance. Leaving Sausalito, re-board your coach and head back across the Golden Gate Bridge to the Land's End Lookout. Upon arrival, a photo stop is made to take in spectacular views of the waves crashing along the cliffs. Your picturesque city tour continues with a drive through Golden Gate Park.

Golden Gate Park, Haight-Ashbury District, Chinatown, Lunch, Free Time, North Beach

San Francisco's enormous arboreal front-yard, this approximately 1,017-acre (about 411-hectare) landmark, stretches inland from the Pacific coast. Soon after leaving the park, drive through the Haight-Ashbury District to see where the hippie movement began and pass by vintage shops that maintain the character of the neighbourhood. Proceed for a delicious lunch in Chinatown, the oldest of its kind in North America. After lunch, some free time is made available to browse the markets and shoppes. Leaving Chinatown, re-board your coach for a drive through North Beach, home to San Francisco's 'Little Italy'.

Fisherman's Wharf, Free Time, Twin Peaks, Spectacular Views, San Francisco International Airport

Upon arrival at the Fisherman's Wharf, some free time is made available to explore this waterfront district, where you can sample some of the local culinary delights at your own expense or follow the sounds of the sea lions that routinely visit the marina. After re-boarding your coach, head south toward Twin Peaks. Of the 43 hills in San Francisco, Twin Peaks offers the city's most spectacular views. On a clear day, you are treated to stunning, 360-degree views spanning the Golden Gate to Alcatraz, Berkeley, and the peninsula. After a photo stop here, re-board your coach for the approximately 45-minute transfer to San Francisco International Airport and your flight home.
