The walk starts at the pier with your guide, who will take you through town. On the walk you will pass the museum, the famous fountain and reach the old town area. Hereafter you pass the church, local shops, the school in Qaqortoq. During the tour you will learn about life in the arctic and you will gain insight in how it is to live in the biggest town ofSouth Greenland, counting only approx. 3.500 inhabitants, which is part of Kujalleqmunicipality. Qaqortoq is famous for its art around town called Man and Stone, which include 31 engraved sculptures in the fields of the town. The guided tour will end in front of the Museum, which you may explore on your own –tickets are included

Please note: This tour requires an extensive amount of walking and standing for approximately 1.87 miles (about three kilometres), at times over uneven terrain and inclines, with four steps to negotiate at the Old Church and three steps at the New Church. This tour takes place entirely on-foot, and is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Warm, layered clothing, flat, closed-toe walking shoes or boots, and sun protection are recommended. Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
