This Silver Shore Overland Experience requires advance booking through Silversea Reservations no later than 90 days prior to the sail date. Requests received after this date may be accommodated on a space-available basis. Tickets are available in limited quantities, and participation cannot be guaranteed for those guests not booking well in advance. A minimum number of participants is required to operate this programme. If this minimum number is not met, Silversea reserves the right to offer the programme at a different rate based on private arrangements, or to cancel the specific departure. Payment in full is due at time of final payment. Bookings made within 120 days of sailing require full payment within seven days of booking or sooner, as specified by Silversea.
All Overland Experience fares are subject to change, and not guaranteed until payment is received in full by Silversea. All Overland Experiences are non-transferable, and non-refundable, within 90 days of sailing. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by someone 18 years of age or older. VISA INFORMATION:
Vietnam visa is included and will be issued upon arrival at the airport. Guests are required to bring one passport-sized photo (2"X2") with them. Passports must be valid for 6 months following the date of your entry into Vietnam. Guests must have at least 1 blank page for the local visa.
LOCAL CURRENCY:
The local currency is the Vietnamese Dong; however, Euros and US Dollars are well-accepted by most vendors; local ATMs are available in some locations visited, and credit cards are accepted in most larger shops and hotels (there is no shopping stop planned during the program).

DAY ONE - Friday, September 19, 2025 - Hong Kong/Hanoi
Disembark the ship and transfer to the Hong Kong Airport for your scheduled flight to Hanoi
After disembarking the ship, meet your guide and transfer to Hong Kong Airport for check-in and your scheduled, approximately two hours and 10-minute afternoon Vietnam Airline flight departing at approximately 2:30 p.m and arriving in Ha Noi at approximately 3:40 p.m. A light meal is included. (Please be advised that flights may be changed by the local supplier at any time, and without our control, due to operational reasons. The final flights' details will be confirmed once onboard).
Transfer to your hotel for check-in
Upon arrival at the Hanoi Airport and after passport and visa formalities, meet your guide and transfer to the Hotel de l'Opera Hanoi for check-in and some free time to freshen-up before dinner.

DAY TWO - Saturday, September 20, 2025 - Hanoi
After breakfast, meet your guide and drive to the Ho Chi Minh Complex
After breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide and depart for the short drive to Ba Dinh Square (Ho Chi Minh Complex).
Stop for photos at the Mausoleum, take a garden stroll, and visit the One Pillar Pagoda
Upon arrival, a photo stop is made in front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Afterward, take a guided stroll through the garden, which is located behind the Mausoleum. Pass by tranquil lotus ponds en route to Ho Chi Minh's stilt house, a simple teak building resembling the homes of the ethnic hill tribes, and visit the One Pillar Pagoda, one of the symbols of Ha Noi.
Head to the 11th-century Temple of Literature, site of the country's first university
Next, re-board your coach and head to the Temple of Literature, which was founded in 1076 during the Ly Dynasty and dedicated to Confucianism. The temple complex is the site of the country's first university, which is the pride of the nation and its most important educational centre. Following your guided visit, re-board your coach and drive on to Hoa Lo (Hell's Hole).
Visit the macabre Hoa Lo, now a museum depicting Vietnam-era atrocities
Built by the French in the late-19th century to house Vietnamese prisoners, Hoa Lo was nicknamed the Hanoi Hilton by the Americans during the Second Indochina War; much of the prison was demolished in 1996. What remains is a museum depicting the horrors of the imprisonment of the Vietnamese and many American pilots, including the late U.S. Senator John McCain.
After lunch at a local restaurant, drive to the Old Quarter and tour the Ngoc Son Temple
After lunch at a local restaurant, re-board your coach and proceed to the Old Quarter for a visit to the Ngoc Son Temple. Built on Hoan Kiem Lake, the temple attracts many local tourists on weekends and during festivals.

Proceed to an entertaining show at the Water Puppet Theatre, and dinner at a local restaurant
Afterward, meet your guide at the Water Puppet Theatre. Upon arrival, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show, then proceed for dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.

DAY THREE - Sunday, September 21, 2025 - Hanoi/Ha Long Bay/ Ho Chi Minh
After breakfast and check-out, drive to Ha Long Bay
After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, meet your guide and depart for the scenic, approximately two and half hours drive to Ha Long Bay.
Ha Long Bay
Ha Long Bay, approximately 580 square miles (1,500 square kilometres) area means “Bay of the Descending Dragon”. It consists of about 3,000 limestone monolithic islands, rising from the ocean with their thick, jungle-like vegetation. Several of these islands are hollow, while other appear to be floating on the water, their bases having eroded over thousands of years. It is no wonder this was listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1994.
Upon arrival in Ha Long Bay, embark your junk boat for a scenic cruise past craggy outcrops and strange images that rise from the sea. Local lunch is served onboard the junk while you are cruising ashore admiring the beautiful scenery of the bay.
Following your crusie embrark on your coach for approx. 1 hour transfer to Haiphong airport for approx. 2-hours flight to Saigon, Ho Chi Minh city departing at 4pm.
Upon arrival at Saigon airport, meet your guide and transfer to a hotel in Saigon downtown.

DAY FOUR - Monday, September 22, 2025 - Mekong Delta
After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, embark on a 2-hour journey to the Mekong Delta, a region known as the "Nine Dragon Delta" due to its nine river mouths. The mighty Mekong River, originating in Tibet and flowing through several countries before its 120-mile (193-kilometre) course through Vietnam, divides into nine river mouths.
Board a motorized boat at My Tho for a trip along the Mekong River, heading to Th?i Son (Unicorn Island), the biggest island in this area. Visit an orchid garden to see orchid flowers, some bee hives, and enjoy honey tea, as well as take a look at a local chocolate processing workshop.
Continue to B?n Tre province to visit a coconut candy workshop and take a ride on a tuk-tuk along the village road. Rest at a farm-house to enjoy some fresh tropical fruits and listen to traditional music performed by local people. Then, take a ride on a small boat (sampan) along a beautiful natural canal and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in the countryside.
There will be a chance to buy local souvenirs at the various stops before savoring local Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant in the Mekong Delta. After lunch, return to Saigon and rejoin your ship docking at the port. Transfer to the pier and ship upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh.
Please note: This Mid-Voyage Overland Experience requires an extensive amount of walking, at times over uneven, gravel, and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and board/de-board the plane, and many steps at the sites visited. This tour is recommended for active guests in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with back and/or neck problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests prone to motion sickness, guests with a fear of heights, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing (long-and-short-sleeved shirts, shorts and pants, with flat, non-slip, and closed-toe walking shoes and sneakers, and bring sun protection, sunglasses with a strap, insect repellent, a weatherproof jacket, raingear, small backpack for land visits (for cameras, bottled water, etc.), camera, plastic bag to keep your camera or photographic equipment dry, medications, binoculars, and local currency and/or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Please dress conservatively when going ashore. Proper attire is required to enter the temples, monasteries, and pagodas; shorts and bare shoulders are not permitted. As a rule, women should not wear anything remotely revealing (miniskirts, shorts, capris, beachwear, and sleeveless or low-cut tops), and men should always wear shirts and trousers in public. Proper attitude is required to enter regilious sites and HochiMinh Mausoleum. Guests must carry their passports and ship's ID at all times. Each guest must bring along an extra photo for visa applications. Local conditions may be challenging; therefore, we urge flexibility and understanding as we visit unique and somewhat remote destinations. Coaches, guides, hotels, restaurants, equipment, and services are the best-available in the area, but may not be up to the standards of those found on other excursions. We thank you for your understanding. For your added safety and protection, please leave jewellery, valuables, and large amounts of cash on board the ship. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. The tour sequence, timings and itinerary may vary. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions.
