>Bring a printed copy of your license or proof of license through the ADFG app Be aware that king salmon fishing starts in early June, peaks in the middle of July, and stays strong throughout the summer. Silver salmon fishing starts around the beginning of July and runs through the end of August. Bottom fishing is done by jigging bait off the ocean floor, typically in 100 to 300 feet of water, while the boat is at anchor or drifting in one area. Each person has use of their own rod and reel while fishing. Fish caught is eaten at the lodge. Any additional catch can be processed and shipped home for an additional charge as arranged by the tour operator. Because of its perishable nature and U.S. Customs regulations, your catch may not be sent outside of the United States. Due to federal regulations, your catch may not be brought back to your cruise ship.
