Excursion Nuuk on foot tour at Nuuk

Begin your journey at Katuaq Cultural Center, a hub for Greenlandic art and culture. Stroll through Nuuk's historic quarter, passing the Parliament House, where Greenland's self-governance is exercised. Explore the open-air market, Kalaaliaraq, bustling with vendors selling fresh local produce. Visit the Nuuk Cathedral, a red wooden church dating back to 1849.  At the old Colonial Harbour, discover Hans Egede's House, the oldest building in Greenland, constructed in 1721. Conclude at the Greenland National Museum, home to the Qilakitsoq mummies, offering insights into Inuit and Norse history. After the tour, choose to return to the shuttle stop or linger by the harbour, returning to the ship at your leisure

Please note: This excursion is suited for those who are physically fit. It involves a 1-hour walk on paved walkways; there are some stairs to navigate up and down. The tour is not suitable for those who utilise a wheelchair or have limited mobility. Children two years and older may participate, but there are no specialized seats to accommodate them, so they are the responsibility of parents/guardians. It is advised to wear warm clothes and comfortable walking shoes. Photos are permitted; it is respectful to ask people before taking a picture if they are to be in it.
