Excursion Nice & st. paul de vence tour at Antibes

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Discover two of the most charming villages of the French Riviera with their beauty and architecture during this scenic, sightseeing tour of Eze and St. Paul de Vence. Guided tours will show you the treasures of these medieval villages, both set high atop the rocky hillsides that dominate this landscape.

Nice

Enjoy a panoramic city tour along the 'Promenade des Anglais', a splendid palm-lined boulevard stretching along the Baie des Anges. See in amazement landmarks like the legendary Negresco, an imposing hotel with its Belle Epoque façade, and the Russian Orthodox Cathedral, built with pink bricks, light grey marble and vivid colour ceramics, all sitting beneath six onion-shaped domes that lend an exotic touch to the Nice landscape.

Next, visit the Old City, where tall houses tightly-packed across narrow streets are often festooned with bright flowers or hanging laundry, and designed to provide shade and keep the streets cool during the long, hot summers. A stop is made for a leisurely stroll along the Cours Saleya, the elegant promenade of Old Nice, which is now lined with shops, and restaurants and the famous Flower Market.

Following your visit and some free time; re-board your coach to reach St. Paul de Vence.

St. Paul de Vence

Continue your journey to this ancient hilltop village's medieval atmosphere and view first-hand how well and perfectly preserved it is. Narrow streets are flanked by 16th-century houses, most of which are now occupied by gift shops and art galleries. During the guided walking tour, stroll about the crooked lanes and see the remarkable remains of the 12th-century Gothic church. Enjoy some free time for shopping.

Following your tour, board your coach for the return to Nice.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking on uneven, steep and partially-cobblestone streets. The visit to St. Paul de Vence takes place entirely on-foot. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, walking shoes and sun protection.
