Spend approximately 3 hours exploring the landmarks and shops of Newcastle at your leisure, and perhaps have an early lunch on your own.

The city's principal buildings and attractions include the elegant golden sandstone architecture of Grainger Town, the historic heart of Newcastle upon Tyne. Built around classical streets dating from the 1830s and 1840s, a large percentage of the buildings here are listed as being of historical and architectural importance.
