Experience the local village life, people and culture of the Nausori Highlands during this half-day sightseeing excursion.  

Lautoka, Nadi, Residential Areas, Villages, Sugar Cane Plantations, Lookout Point

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately one-hour drive to Nausori Village. En route, pass through residential areas, villages and sugar cane plantations, then continue along the outskirts of Nadi. Whilst ascending the hills up to Yavuna Village, a refreshment and photo stop at Lookout Point offers breath-taking views overlooking Nadi Bay and out to the Mamanuca Islands.

Yavuna Village, Welcome Kava Ceremony, Afternoon Tea, Nadi Temple

A welcome kava ceremony greets your arrival at Yavuna Village. Afterward, take a guided village tour, and enjoy afternoon tea with seasonal fruit and local pastries provided by the villagers. Following your tour, re-board your coach and head to the Nadi Temple, the largest Hindu temple in the Southern Hemisphere. Following an exterior photo stop here, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking for approximately 437 yards (about 400 metres), at times over uneven, natural surfaces and hills, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the vehicle. This tour includes some off-road driving over bumpy and uneven natural surfaces and inclines and is not suitable for guests with with back and/or neck problems and guests who utilise a wheelchair. The tour is also not recommended for guests prone to motion sickness as the drive will be along several winding roads. The vehicles used on this tour are closed 4WD vehicle. In each 4WD there will be a driver/guide. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, insect repellent, and credit cards or local currency for purchases from the ship. When visiting a Fijian village, women are not permitted to wear shorts, and men are not permitted to wear cap/hats. Women can bring a sarong if they are wearing shorts. The tour sequence may vary.
