Leave from the floating port, which was built by the English in 1903 keeping in mind the annual rise and fall of the Rio Negro. Drive by the custom house, prefabricated in Liverpool (England) and shipped to Manaus one hundred years ago. Walk through the Municipal Market and learn about the local fish, fruits, and medicinal herbs.
Continue the tour to photo stop at the Police Square/Provincial Palace, building dated from 1874 which now houses several museums. Pass in front of the Litle Big Ben of Manaus, near of the Cathedral and the Customs House. Photo stop at the 19th century Palácio Rio Negro built to be the private residence of a German rubber baron and later the Governor’s office until 1997, transformed after this date in Cultural Center. The highlights of the tour will be a visit to the lavish Opera House built almost entirely of European material during the rubber boom and inaugurated in 1896.
Continue the tour to visit the Museum of Manaus before returning to the port.

Please note: A moderate amount of walking and standing for approximately 1.5 km (0.93 miles), with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and to reach the sites visited. Light clothing and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
