Enjoy a full day (five hour) excursion to the splendid Lower Seine and one of the oldest ruins in France.
Depart from the pier for the drive to Jumieges (one and half hours) to arrive at the Norman Abbey. Built during the 10th century by Duke William Long Sword, it is situated on the ruins of another abbey constructed in 7th century. Explore the history of the Benedictine monks who lived here until the time of the French Revolution and who are known for their charity, scholarship and wisdom.
Next, you will board your coach for the rive to St. Martin de Boscherville (one-half hour). Enjoy a guided visit of the Abbey St. Georges and its garden. Constructed between the 11th and 12th centuries, the abbey has a striking unity of style and harmony of proportion and is considered one of the Seine's finest small monuments.
