Excursion Highlights of puerto madryn & gaiman tour at Puerto Madryn

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Begin with a short drive to the center of lovely Puerto Madryn, an attractive little town that remains in the same spot where British immigrants, led by Viscount Madryn, founded a colony in 1880.  Welsh immigrants established the small town of Trelew nearby.

Today, local residents continue many of the traditions that their Welsh ancestors brought from the old world, particularly in Gaiman, another local village known for its quaint, red brick cottages.  This village features many Welsh family names and continues its wonderful tradition of afternoon tea, Wales-style.  After touring the town, you will visit a local restaurant in Gaiman, and enjoy a traditional tea, which includes homemade scones, cakes and breads, butter and jam.

While tasting the welsh tea & cakes, enjoy the wonderful voices of a local Welsh choir during teatime.
