Excursion Green lake snorkel & local family marine farm tour at Ilha Grande
Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
Immerse yourself in the aquatic wonders of Lagoa Verde (Green Lake), a serene shallow bay along Ilha Grande's northwest coast. This emerald sanctuary lives up to its name with its distinctive green waters, creating the perfect setting for an intimate marine encounter. Equipped with provided noodles, float or snorkel alongside the charismatic sergeant major fish, known locally as "Sargentinhos," who eagerly greet visitors.
The lagoon's rich biodiversity offers extraordinary sightings – from graceful sea horses and vibrant starfish to majestic sea turtles gliding through their natural habitat. As your journey continues past the scenic inlet called Enseada do Sítio Forte, prepare to visit a local marine farm where sustainable aquaculture thrives. Here you’ll step onto a floating restaurant to savor the ocean's bounty – freshly harvested oysters, mussels and scallops – or try a traditional Brazilian pastel (similar to an empanada) filled with succulent shrimp.
