Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately one-hour drive to Trelew City. Upon arrival, head for a visit to the Paleontological Museum Egidio Feruglio (MEF Museum), one of the most important scientific institutions in Argentina. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of its permanent exhibits and a backstage visit to observe how the museum operates behind the scenes.

Observe Paleontologists Working, Rebuilding and Studying Fossils and Relics

Every year, MEF investigators and technicians travel through the Chubut Province in order to explore potential sites of scientific interest. Fossils and paleontological samples are hidden, after millions of years in the sediment, waiting to be finally discovered. These pieces provide valuable information to understand how our ancient history, and planet, evolved. Welsh Village of Dolavon, Local Restaurant, Traditional, Homemade Pasta Lunch

Following your visit, re-board your mini coach and continue on to the Welsh village of Dolavon. Upon arrival, enjoy its Welsh heritage and charm, then proceed for a traditional, homemade pasta lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, re-board your mini coach and commence the approximately 1.5-hour drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of driving and a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.56 miles (about 0.9 kilometres), at times over uneven, gravel, dusty and natural surfaces, with three-four steps to negotiate to get on/off the mini coach at the sites visited. This tour is recommended for active guests who are in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guest with neck and/or back problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests prone to guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear warm, comfortable clothing in layers with flat, rubber-soled and closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, a weatherproof jacket, camera, and local currency for purchases from the ship; high-heeled shoes and flip-flops are not permitted. Guests must be at least 12 years old to participate on this tour; guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Coaches, guides, hotels, restaurants, equipment, and services are the best-available in the area, but may not be up to the standards of those found on other excursions. Flash photography is not permitted inside the MEF Museum. The tour sequence may vary. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
