As someone who is used to travelling with Costa, I can say that the two cruise lines are comparable. The ship is very beautiful and spacious, and the food is varied, plentiful and of good quality. However, I find it rather unreasonable to have to pay for the shuttle service from the ship to the port exit.
I have been on several MSC cruises, and I have noticed an increasing number of passengers behaving disrespectfully. Chairs and sun loungers are constantly being reserved with towels, people lounge around with their feet on chairs, food is left uneaten on plates, and children use the hot tubs wearing goggles and arm floats. I go on holiday to relax, and I should not have to argue every day with inconsiderate passengers. I strongly recommend that MSC appoint dedicated staff to ensure that the rules are respected. More supervision is needed, along with measures to discourage passengers from taking food that they do not intend to eat. Overall, greater courtesy, consideration and respect among passengers are needed.

Our first MSC cruise was absolutely wonderful! The logistics were always efficiently organized, the international staff were helpful and attentive, and the entertainment team was extremely proactive and engaging.

I have travelled with MSC on several cruises and continue to appreciate certain aspects of the company, particularly the professionalism and helpfulness of the staff. On this occasion, however, the experience fell short of expectations: the ship was extremely crowded, waiting times for some services were excessive, excursions were very expensive, and little attention was paid to the benefits reserved for Voyagers Club Gold members. I believe that a company like MSC can and should pay greater attention to both organisation and customer loyalty.
Everything was perfect… like being in a wonderland! Definitely an experience to repeat. Compliments to the entire staff: incredibly kind and efficient, with everything superbly organized.
After the last few cruises, which had not gone particularly well, we finally had a perfect cruise.
