Excursion Wetlands and biking adventure tour at Lima
Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
Today we will visit the Villa Wetlands Wildlife Refuge which are a precious place for bird watchers, especially in the summer months.
The main objective is to conserve a representative sample of the wetlands of the Subtropical Pacific Desert, including representative plant samples of the coastal wetlands, as well as migratory and resident avifauna with some degree of threat. In addition, this Ramsar Site seeks to provide the logistical conditions to promote research on biological diversity and maintain the landscape in order to encourage educational and tourist activities. On the other hand, this area protected by the State also seeks to preserve the beauty of the landscape and the bodies of water.
We will board the coach and proceed to the south of Lima. During this one hour and a half drive our expert guide will tell us all about the wetlands. We will arrive to the Villa Wetlands main entrance, here we will take our bike for a short ride to the Marvilla lagoon. From the beginning of this tour we will see the flora and fauna of this precious place.
We will spend time around the paths waiting to be surprised by some of these animals and after this encounter with the nature, we will ride back to the main entrance to take our coach back to the pier.
