Depart the pier for your scenic, approximately three-hour sightseeing drive from Kralendijk to the northern and southern parts of Bonaire, with several photo stops and narrated commentary along the way. At just 24 miles (about 38.6 kilometres) in length, the small size of this tropical island enables us to travel the length of the island, from the rugged mountains of the north to the dreamy southern salt deserts.

From Kralendijk, drive north along the coast to gaze at the pretty pink flamingos flaunting their feathers alongside Lake Goto. From here, head to historic Rincon, Bonaire’s oldest village, then ascend Seru Largu Mountain en route to the cross-topped monument, Seru Largu, located at the highest point on the hill. From the Seru Largu Viewpoint, take in a spectacular view of the capital, Kralendijk. Afterward, re-board your coach and head south to the blushing salt pans sprawl at the feet of the iconic salt pyramids. Upon arrival, take in splendid views of the salt flats and former slave huts.

Next, your sunny sojourn continues on to a boutique oceanfront resort (Sorobon Beach Resort or The Bonairian seaside hotel). Upon arrival, proceed for a light lunch served at the resort. After lunch, some free time is made available to soak up the tropical sun on the resort’s sandy, private beach, and/or enjoy a refreshing swim in the inviting turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 327 yards (about 300 metres), at times over uneven, cobblestone, and sandy surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. Walking at the beach resort is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover-up with beach or water shoes, and bring sun protection, insect repellent, a towel, change of clothing, bottled water, and US Dollars or credit cards for purchases from the ship.
