Start your day by meeting your tour guide and accessible van at the Valencia cruise port. From here, you will head out into the city center for a memorable time exploring popular highlights of the city. Escorted by your tour guide, you will see several spectacular, notable cathedrals, including the Virgin Mary Basilica, Church of the two Saint Johns, and enjoy an interior visit to the glorious Valencia Cathedral. You will also get to revel in the beauty of the different architectural styles that line the picturesque city streets. In Valencia, you will experience the fascinating old gates that lead into the city, including the Torres de Serranos. This is one of a total of twelve gates that formed part of the ancient city wall, the Christian Wall. The area around the gate is filled with a beautiful display of Roman, Gothic and Baroque style architecture.


La Lonja de la Seda de Valencia & Central Market

Next, your tour continues to the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, La Lonja de la Seda de Valencia. Built between 1482 and 1533, the series of buildings in La Lonja was originally used for trading silk (hence its name, the Silk Exchange), and it has always been used as a center for commerce. Today, it stands as a true masterpiece of late Gothic architecture. Have your camera ready for some beautiful photo opportunities here.

Your final part of the tour will be spent on a leisurely stroll at the Central Market of Valencia for some samples of local specialties and souvenir shopping.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking of approximately 1.4 miles and is specially designed for guests a wheelchair or a scooter. Full time wheelchair users, are kindly requested to contact shoreconcierge@silversea.com  in order to provide further details and determine if the tour is suitable for them. The tour route avoids steps and stairs. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes are recommended. An accessible vehicle with a wheelchair lift or ramp will be used for transportation. Guides are not allowed to push wheelchairs. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment. On Sunday and holidays when market is closed, the Archaeological Museum with its Roman remains will be visited instead. On Sunday, the guide is not allowed to enter the Cathedral with the group.
