Your adventure begins with a 90-minute coach ride through scenic northern Colombia terrain to the entrance of Quebrada Valencia Tropical Reserve. The drive offers spectacular views of the region’s verdant landscape.

Guided Rainforest Trek

Upon arrival, an experienced guide will lead you on an informative one-hour trek into this untouched natural reserve, celebrated for its biodiversity. Walk beneath the rainforest canopy along mostly flat sandy paths, crossing shallow pebbled streams and muddy patches. Along the way, learn about the local flora, fauna, and small subsistence farms, such as banana plantations, that dot the landscape.

Waterfall & Natural Pool

Your efforts are rewarded as you reach the misty ravine, where a waterfall with multiple streams feeds a pristine natural pool—perfect for a refreshing dip. Feel the cool mountain water and enjoy moments of tranquility in this remote, unspoiled environment.

Picnic & Relaxation

Return Journey

Please note: This adventure tour, suitable for active walkers only, involves about 2.0 km /1.25 mi of walking over flat and undulating natural trails with compacted mud & sand, exposed tree roots, loose gravel, and some inclines. Shallow streams with pebbles are crossed and will wet hikers’ shoes. Hot and humid conditions can be expected, along with potentially strong breezes. Guests should be in good physical health and able to walk at a medium pace in the heat. The tour is not suitable for those who utilise a wheelchair or have limited mobility. Dress in lightweight, comfortable clothing, wear waterproof walking or trail shoes with a good grip, and bring a hat and sun/insect protection. If swimming, bring or wear a suit, and bring towel(s) and a dry change of clothes. Some crowding in the Reserve may be expected. This excursion operates in all weather conditions.
