Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Enjoy a picturesque hike through Uisage Ban Falls Trail. Sit back and relax during a scenic, approximately 90-minute journey to your hiking destination. Receive an introduction to Sydney, view the historic North End and hear about the city's founders and the industry that developed in the area before venturing along the Trans-Canada Highway to reach Baddeck, situated on the shores of the beautiful Bras d'Or Lakes in the heart of Cape Breton Island.

In addition to its lovely location, Baddeck is known for its famous resident, Alexander Graham Bell, who spent the last decades of his life working and pursuing his innovative studies at the summer retreat he called Beinn Bhreagh, Gaelic for "Beautiful Mountain."

Arrive at the Uisage Ban Falls Trail for your scenic hike. Meaning "White Waters" in Gaelic, Uisage Ban meanders through some of the oldest forests in the province, lush with 200-year-old birch and maple trees. The three-mile trail takes you deep into not only the area's natural beauty but also its natural history, with interpretive panels, benches and bridges dotting the pathway to provide spots to rest and ponder. Reaching the 50-foot falls, prepare to be taken aback in awe of the beauty before you.

After your 2-hour trek rejoin your motor coach and begin your approximately 70-minute return to the pier, taking in views of Boulanderie Island, the Seal Island Bridge, the Great Bras d'Or Channel, Kelly's Mountain and St. Ann's Bay along the way.
