Excursion Tranopy – aerial tram & zip-line adventure tour at Castries

Explore the rainforest canopy in two very unique ways as you combine a leisurely scenic glide via gondola through the rainforest with the exhilaration of a zip-line flight during this half-day adventurous outing.

Rain Forest Sky Rides Eco Park

From the pier in Castries depart by air-conditioned coach through St. Lucia's countryside. Pass through the communities of Babonneau, Fond Assau and Chassin en route to the Rain Forest Sky Rides Eco Park.

Gondolas, Rainforest trees, Lavender stars

Upon arrival you are geared up with a harness and helmet and receive a health and safety introduction. Next, after completing the training cable, you embark the aerial tram for your slow ascent through the wonders of the rainforest. Gondolas safely glide through and over the treetops, where knotted and twisting woody vines wind to the tops of old growth rainforest trees. Dense thickets of surreal vegetation merge with cascades of flowers. Lavender stars, orange bursts, yellow berries and white magnolia flowers and lace thrive on the branches of fragrant flowering trees. Once at the top station, disembark and continue on a trail descending through the thicket of the rain forest.

Hike, Sky Canopy Platform

Following a hike of approximately 20 minutes you reach the first Sky Canopy platform. The first zip cable is only the beginning of an exhilarating experience of sailing along eight zip cables. You fly among the high rain forest trees such as Gommier and Chatannier with great views of the north of the island, Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.

After the zip-line flight, begin the return hike to the top station of the aerial tram for the descent back to terra firma via a relaxing gondola ride. From the base of the tram, re-board the coach for the return to the ship.

Please note: This is an adventurous tour, participants should be reasonably fit. It is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. This tour operates in all weather conditions. Long hair must be pulled back and secured. Closed toe walking or hiking shoes are required no heels or flip flops. Please wear sun protection and long shorts or trousers, no skirts or dresses. Insect & repellant is recommended. Lockers are available for US$ 2.00. The transfer is approximately 30 minutes without guide or commentary. All Rain Forest Sky Rides properties are non- smoking. A signed waiver is required to participate in this excursion.
