Tobermory Harbour, Fishing Vessels and Multi-Coloured Houses

Depart the pier for a scenic, guided walking tour along Tobermory Harbour, a vibrant hub of fishing vessels and yachts throughout the year. Along the way, admire the rows of pretty, multi-coloured houses lining the seafront. This charming location led to Tobermory's selection as the setting for the award-winning children's television programme, Balamory. The theme of the programme was based around what happens in-and--around each coloured house.

Seafront Stroll and Mull Museum

As your stroll continues along the seafront, your guide shares interesting aspects of local history, both ancient and modern. A stop is made at the delightful Mull Museum, with its compact history of the town and Isle of Mull. Leaving Mull Museum, walk to Tobermory Whisky Distillery.

Tobermory Whisky Distillery Tour and Tasting

Established in 1798, Tobermory Whisky Distillery is the only distillery on Mull and one of the oldest commercial distilleries in Scotland. It is unique, not just because of its idyllic location, but because produced two different, yet equally-alluring single malts; the fruity Tobermory, and more robust and smoky Ledaig. During your guided tour of the distillery, learn about the brewing processes, then proceed for a tasting of two drams, a 10-year-old Tobermory and 10-year-old Ledaig. Following your tour and tasting, return to the pier on-foot.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking for approximately one mile (about 1.6 kilometres). This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear warm, layered clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and a weatherproof jacket from the ship. Guests must be at least 18 years old to participate in tastings of alcoholic beverages.
