Excursion 'the pirates route' sea kayaking tour at Rhodes

Explore the beauty of the Southern Aegean Sea and see the island of Rhodes from a unique vantage point aboard your kayak. Enjoy an incredible adventure on your approximately 2.5-hour paddle, with an hour-long break for a lovely picnic lunch and some beach time. Travel in your double kayak along the same routes that the pirates of Rhodes followed centuries ago as you hear the lore of these swashbuckling thieves of the sea.

Transfer to Haraki Beach & Sea Kayaking

Your tour begins with a 45-minute transfer to the beautiful Haraki Beach, where you are introduced to your knowledgeable guide and receive a safety briefing and equipment orientation. Push off and begin your paddle along the coast of the island of Rhodes, enjoying the incredible panorama afforded by your vantage point on the water, with sparkling turquoise waters and gorgeous rock formations surrounding you.

Coastal Views & Hidden Sea Caves

Admire the same hidden sea caves as the pirates and row around the rocky coast to Feraklos Castle. Your kayak gives you access to remote beaches that are otherwise inaccessible but are a beautiful place to stop and take a refreshing swim, or go snorkelling in the crystalline waters. Your guide has plenty of pirate lore to share as you travel, ensuring your paddle stays interesting.

Free Time & Greek Picnic Lunch

Take a break from paddling and leave your kayak on the shore of Kokkini Ammos beach. Relax on the red sand beach and take in the view of the dramatic, craggy cliffs as you enjoy an authentic Greek picnic lunch.

Afterwards, make the return paddle to your starting point and transfer back to the port.

Please note: This tour involves extensive activity and participants must be in good physical condition and able to swim in water too deep to stand. Guests should wear a swimsuit under a cover-up, water shoes, plenty of sun protection and bring a towel from the ship. Kayaks used on this tour are 2 person kayaks. Lockers are available for storing your personal belongings. Snorkel equipment is provided. Minimum age to participate is 18 years, and a maximum weight of 209 pounds (95 kilograms, 210 lbs) applies to all participants. All guests need to sign a waiver to participate. The parent or guardian would need to sign a special permission waiver if a participant is below the age limit. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
