Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Discover the undersea beauty of Bonaire in an environmentally-responsible new way during this immersive, half-day snorkelling excursion via electric catamaran.

Kralendijk, Bonaire National Marine Park, E-Catamaran Cruise to the 1st Snorkelling Spot

Depart the pier for the short walk to the boat dock and your awaiting electric catamaran (e-catamaran), the first e-boat in Bonaire. Equipped with electric propulsion, the sustainable catamaran reduces its carbon footprint, thanks to emission-free engines. After embarking your vessel and receiving your safety and tour instructions, begin your scenic and relaxing, approximately 30-minute cruise to the magnificent Bonaire National Marine Park, one of the oldest marine reserves in the world.

Coral Reef, Seagrass, Mangroves, Guided Snorkelling, Coral Beds, Tropical Fish, Marine Life

Established in 1979, the Bonaire National Marine Park spans approximately 6,700 acres (about 2,700 hectares), and includes a coral reef, seagrass, and mangrove vegetation. The Lac Bay Lagoon is also part of this spectacular underwater park. Whilst your eco-friendly, e-catamaran cruises through this stunning marine park to your first snorkelling site. Upon arrival, receive your safety and snorkelling instructions and gear, and begin your approximately 45-minute guided snorkelling session at one of the protected reefs. Along the way, discover diverse colonies of colourful corals, and abundant and diverse reef fish and marine life. The boat is also equipped with a slide from the fly bridge into the water.

E-Catamaran Cruise to the 2nd Snorkelling Spot, Guided Snorkelling, Kralendijk, Mansions

Following your first snorkelling stop, embark your e-catamaran and sip a refreshing beverage en route to your second snorkelling stop. Upon arrival, begin approximately 30 minutes of swimming and/or guided snorkelling in these inviting turquoise waters. Alternatively, you might opt to remain on the boat, soak up the tropical sun, or relax on the large, shaded deck. During the approximately 40-minute ride back to the boat dock, enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks from the open bar whilst your silent yacht traces the exquisite coastline, in sight of the colourful capital city, Kralendijk, and its Dutch Caribbean mansions. Upon arrival at the boat dock, disembark your boat and commence the short walk back to the pier.
