Singapore is well-known for the bustling activity along its streets and waterfront. Explore the sights and sounds up close as you experience a Singapore run-around on the city's different forms of transportation - river boat, MRT (Subway), and by bus.
Depart the pier with your guide on foot. Depending on the day of the week and the traffic patterns, your guide will lead you through the city. Each group is limited to 12 participants who will 'make their own way' on a customized route, armed with a Singapore survival kit of essential items like a map, coins for subway, mineral water, tiger balm ointment, and a sandalwood fan.
City Highlights
Explore Chinatown or Bugis Village, where the streets are lined with century-old shop-houses, selling food items and trinkets. Ride along the Singapore River in one of the colourful riverboats. In Raffles' days, these vessels were used to transport goods. Today, they are a popular way to experience a kaleidoscope of historic river images, including the 'godown' warehouses and the gracious buildings of the old waterfront set against the skyline of the new business district. Enjoy the architecture and quaint feel of the Colonial District.
Singapore Sling
This fun-filled trip concludes at the at the Fullerton Hotel (or similar) for a well-deserved legendry Singapore Sling.
Afterwards, a short transfer returns you to the ship.
