Departure on a twist of adventure and discover the island on a 4X4 vehicle. Begin with a stop at Serra do Cume and continuing past the Caldeira de Guilherme Moniz, your visit to the island's capital takes you first to the protected landscape of Monte Brasil, where a photo-stop offers the chance of capturing the stunning views over the ocean and the city.

Leaving Angra do Heroismo, your excursion takes you to the Cheese Factory where you will have the opportunity to taste the different types of cheese produced there along with a glass of wine.


Your next stop will be at Biscoitos on the north coast, a unusual volcanic formation resulting from ancient eruptions, where the famous vines are grown in enclosures known as "curraletas" you will also have time to visit the natural swimming pools.


Your return journey back to the ship takes you through the enchanting villages of Ribeirinha and São Sebastião.

Please note: This tour involves extensive amount of travelling and moderate amount of walking on cobbled stone streets in Agra (approximately 800meters). The total driving time on this tour is approximately 2,3-3 hrs. Jeeps used for this tour are different models (Defender 110, 90 and discovery) and of different capacity. Jeeps may have side bench seats facing each other. Guests must share the jeeps with other guests and can't choose the vehicle. If you wish to have your own vehicle please contact the Shore Concierge. All jeeps are driven by professional drivers and will be traveling on a set itinerary in a convoy. This tour is not suitable for children under the age of 6, guests with motion sickness, guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Consider a high step to get on and off the jeep. Lightweight, comfortable clothing, flat, closed-toe walking shoes are recommended.
