Please note: This tour is non-refundable if cancelled within 14 days prior to beginning of the cruise. This tour involves a moderate to extensive amount of walking for approximately 0.5 miles (about 0.8 kilometres), at times over uneven surfaces, cobblestones, and unpaved terrain, with a few steps required to board and disembark the coach and several steps to negotiate at the sites visited. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility, guests who utilise a wheelchair, or guests with food allergies. Lightweight, comfortable clothing, flat, closed-toe walking shoes are required. Guests are advised to bring Japanese Yen for purchases, as cash may be required at some venues. Lunch features straw-grilled bonito fish (Katsuo no Warayaki). We do not recommend this tour for those who cannot eat bonito or who prefer not to eat sashimi. Dietary restrictions must be communicated to Silversea in advance but no guarantee that the venue can fulfill the request; last-minute requests may not be accommodated. On Tuesdays, the bonito filleting and straw-searing experience, as well as the lunch venue, will be moved to the Kuroshio Kobo. Photography and videography are generally permitted; however, flash photography is not allowed. Infrastructure in Japan may be basic, and local conditions may be challenging; coaches, guides, hotels, restaurants, equipment, and services are the best available in the area but may not be up to the standards of those found on other ports. Therefore, we urge flexibility and understanding as we visit unique, less-touristic destinations. The cost of providing a tour programme in this area is proportionately more expensive than in neighbouring regions, as vehicles and guides are brought in from the whole region. This may be reflected in the prices of the tours, and we thank you for your understanding.
