Excursion Resurrection bay wildlife cruise tour at Seward
Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
Experience the pristine natural splendour and wildlife of Resurrection Bay from up-close during this picturesque, half-day sightseeing cruise.
Seward, Boat Harbour, Resurrection Bay, Kenai Fjords, Seabirds, Sea Lions, Whales, Otters
Depart the pier for the short non-guided transfer to a small boat harbour, and your awaiting boat. Upon arrival, embark the vessel and begin your panoramic journey through Resurrection Bay, located in Kenai Fjords National Park. Whilst gliding along the calm, protected waters and rugged coastline of the bay, marvel at the massive bird rookeries and sea lion colonies, and stop along the way to view passing whales and otters.
Chugach & Kenai Mountain Ranges, Bear Glacier
Next, marvel at alpine glaciers tucked in the surrounding Chugach and Kenai mountains and cruise by Bear Glacier, a piedmont glacier and the largest glacier inside Kenai Fjords National Park. The protected waters of Resurrection Bay are calmer than the open waters on longer Kenai Fjords National Park cruises, making this a better option for guests prone to seasickness. At the conclusion of your Resurrection Bay cruise, return to the small boat harbour and disembark your vessel, then re-board your coach for the short drive back to the pier.
